Kathryn Hilliard Stuart is the founder of Consultants in College Counseling LLC, an independent educational consulting practice dedicated to guiding high school students through the college application process. Kathryn holds a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Davidson College and a Master of Education in Clinical Counseling from The Citadel. She is a Licensed Professional Counselor and a Certified Educational Planner.
Kathryn has served on the Furman Parent Council, the Columbia Museum of Art Board of Trustees, the Columbia Garden Club Foundation Board, the Hilliard Family Foundation Executive Board, and the South Carolina Governor’s Mansion Board of Trustees. Additionally, she has been actively involved with Big Brothers Big Sisters, American Legion Auxiliary, and Leadership Columbia.
Kathryn and her husband, Gene Stuart, MD, have lived in Columbia, SC, for over twenty years and are proud parents of two daughters: Sara Stuart, MD (Furman ’19) and Caroline Stuart, BSN, RN. She is deeply committed to her family, her professional practice, and her community, with a passion for supporting education and adolescent development. In her free time, she enjoys gardening, traveling, fitness, church involvement, and championing initiatives that foster educational and adolescent guidance and support.
