Dr. Jonathan Gleason is a healthcare executive with extensive experience designing and implementing care delivery systems within large healthcare companies.  Dr. Gleason serves as executive vice president and chief clinical officer for Prisma Health where he has broad oversight of the clinical and academic mission of the large integrated delivery network, and the nearly 4,000-member medical group.   

Prior to joining Prisma Health, Dr. Gleason served as executive vice president and chief clinical officer for Jefferson Health, chair of the JeffCare Board of Directors, and chief quality officer for Carilion Clinic.  Dr. Gleason’s work also extended into global retail environments when he served as principal for the development of EverSafeOS™ with business services company, Aramark, and advisor to Genial Care in Brazil.    

Dr. Gleason’s work has been widely cited – including the New England Journal of Medicine Catalyst, the Wall Street Journal, and Harvard Business Review.  He was inducted into the HLTH Digital Health Hall of Fame in 2023.  He is regularly listed among the top clinical executives in America.    

Dr. Gleason’s landmark paper in the New England Journal of Medicine Catalyst regarding health disparities among people with intellectual disability resulted in civil rights lawsuits and major policy changes around the world.   

 

He serves on multiple boards, editorial boards, and technical expert panels, including Special Olympics of Pennsylvania.  He serves as clinical faculty at Clemson University and the University of South Carolina.
