John Pezdek joined Furman University’s Development team in December 2023. As a Development Officer, John is committed to building long-term, donor-centered relationships with alumni, parents, families, and friends, connecting their philanthropic interests with the university’s mission and priorities.

Prior to his current role, John served as Director of Annual Giving at Furman and brings more than 15 years of higher education advancement experience, including senior development leadership roles at Clemson University and St. Lawrence University.

An avid golfer, John participates in Furman’s Purple & White Golf League and enjoys connecting with fellow faculty and staff at the Furman Golf Club. He lives in Greenville with his wife, Teresa, and their seven-year-old son.
