Jody Teel, DrPH, MPH, is a Research Scientist at the Institute for the Advancement of Community Health at Furman University. Her research focuses on health equity, community-engaged research, and the role of power, policy, and systems in shaping health outcomes. She uses community-based participatory research and other participatory approaches to partner with communities in addressing priorities related to substance use, chronic disease, and structural inequities. Her work also examines how research methods and partnerships can be strengthened to support more equitable and community-responsive health research.
