In their own words...

"It only took me a second to fall in love with Furman's view, but what I love more are the people here. My professors not only care about me as a student but also as a person. They are very approachable, so I am never afraid to ask for help. The staff here is so friendly and always willing to help. I was in tears when I received my birthday wishes from the admissions team. I’m lucky enough to have a group of friends who I feel comfortable sharing my feelings with. All the people I’ve met at Furman push me to do to things better. They’re always on point for correcting me when I put myself down or fall into a trap of thinking things are my fault when they aren’t.

CLP, known as cultural life program, is definitely one of my favorite parts about Furman and it is also what makes Furman a unique place. CLPs cover a wide range of topics and forms – from lectures about American policies in the Middle East, held by the politics and international affairs department, to an international fashion show to amazing symphonies performed by the Furman orchestra. CLPs never fail to surprise me. Moreover, not only are students required to attend CLPs, but we can also host them as well. As a member of the Chinese Student Association, we have CLP events every semester. Our goal is to spread Chinese culture and to eliminate misconceptions about China.

Furman forever."
