Jessie Wang (Ph.D., University of California, San Diego) joined the Furman economics faculty in the fall of 2017. Her research interests include topics in household economics and time use with a focus on gender disparity and challenges in an aging population. She teaches Gender Economics, Money and Banking, Introduction to Economics, and a senior seminar in Economics of Aging.

Dr. Wang looks forward to working with students to explore different fields of economics. Being a liberal arts college graduate herself (Dickinson College class of 2012), she is excited to be a part of Furman students’ paths in professional development and personal growth.
