Janna Pennington is the founding director of Furman’s Master of Science in Innovation and Leadership program. She is a curious, collaborative leader with two decades of experience developing people and programs in higher education and community organizations.

Prior to returning to her alma mater in 2022, Janna developed leadership and civic engagement programs at multiple institutions and founded a successful consulting business focused on personal and professional development within organizations. She has worked with AmeriCorps programs across the country to train service year participants and strengthen partnerships between national service and higher education.
