Hailey Anthum Hunter is a pianist, répétiteur, and music director. She works extensively with Furman University’s Department of Music, where she accompanies, coaches, and teaches courses in lyric diction. Hailey is also a Collaborative Artist for the renowned choral ensemble Furman Singers and Music Director of the Sarah Reese Lyric Theatre opera program. She enjoys other regular collaborative opportunities with SongFest, Temple Of Israel Choir, Midnight Oil Collective, & the Greenville Symphony.
An active performer of new music, Hailey has been a member of the creative team for a number of new works for the stage, including Anthony Davis’s first musical Shimmer (Yale Innovation Summit/MOC) and Frances Pollock’s critically-acclaimed opera Stinney: An American Execution (Prototype Festival-NYC). Locally, she music directed Gutenberg! The Musical! at The Warehouse Theatre, also performing the role of Charlie in the first all-female production of the show.
Hailey holds degrees in Piano Performance from Furman University and Collaborative Piano from Middle Tennessee State University. Born and raised in Alabama, Hailey lives in Greenville with her composer husband Samuel.
