Carla joined the IACH team at Furman in the Fall of 2024. She works with the Community Action Team to manage project operations, grants, and research activities for community-engaged research projects.

Prior to joining the IACH, Carla worked as a Community & Research Program Manager at the West Virginia University Health Sciences Center, and as a WIC Nutritionist at the Virginia Department of Health. She received her B.S. in Nutrition/Dietetics from Appalachian State University, and has completed substantial coursework and training in public health.
