Bryan Boroughs joined the Riley Institute as executive director in October 2024. Prior to coming to Furman, Bryan served as chief operating officer and general counsel at the Institute for Child Success. He previously served as an investigative counsel for the United States Senate Committee on Health, Education, Labor and Pensions, and for several youth-serving organizations including YoungInvincibles, Mountainview Whisman Elementary School District, the Girl Scouts of Santa Clara County, and Mental Health America of Greenville County.
Born in Tennessee, Bryan attended Furman University where he graduated with a bachelor's in psychology in 2002. He later obtained a Juris Doctor and a Master of Public Policy from Georgetown University. Bryan is a 2015 graduate of Riley Institute at Furman University’s Diversity Leaders Initiative, and is a partner at Engage Strategies.
