Andy earned his Bachelor's in Music Education from Furman in 2013. He returned to Furman as an Accessibility Specialist in December of 2021. Prior to coming to Furman, he taught music for two years in public school and worked at Project HOPE Foundation for five years, where his focus was teaching vocational and life skills to students across the Autism spectrum. At Furman, in addition to his work with SOAR, Andy also instructs the Paladin Regiment Colorguard, and has since 2020. When not at Furman, Andy is often found on various stages in the upstate, most often doing musical theater. Andy also spent 10 years immersed in Winter Guard International, as a participant, instructor, and designer, having earned an Open Class silver medal in 2015 and earning a World Class finalist position in 2018 with Etude winterguard. While no longer an official participant, Andy is an avid supporter and WGI fan!
