Addy believes that the college years can be some of the most exciting and transformative years you'll ever experience. It's a time for figuring out who you are and who you want to be in the future. However, she also knows that the college experience can bring unique challenges, stresses, and difficulties. As a mother to three young adults, including a daughter who graduated from Furman in '26, Addy understands many of those challenges. She offers a warm, relational, and nonjudgmental space to help you find solutions and healing for the difficulties you're facing.
Addy uses an integrated, holistic approach to counseling. The foundation of her counseling is person-centered, meaning that she focuses on listening, empathizing, and keeping you in the driver seat. Addy also likes incorporating skills from Narrative Therapy and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) when clients seek help with making life changes or finding peace with difficult circumstances. Additionally, Addy offers faith-based counseling for clients who desire it.
In her spare time, Addy loves traveling and making music with her family, reading, writing, and running.
