Aaron Ballard is an actor, writer, producer, arts educator, and improvisor from the upstate of South Carolina. She returns to Greenville after over a decade working as a professional actor and arts educator in New York City. Her acting resume includes numerous Off Broadway, Off Off Broadway, Regional , and small professional productions across the country. A highlight of her theatrical career was playing Emily Webb in OUR TOWN, opposite Pico Alexander and four time Tony Award winner Boyd Gaines at George Street Playhouse.

Her career extends to the big and small screen where she has appeared on network television shows like LAW AND ORDER: SVU and LITTLE AMERICA, as well as a number of indie short films and features. In addition to acting, she also writes and produces for independent film and episodic projects. Her original series, BROKERS, which she wrote and produced, has won multiple awards in Film Festivals across the country. One of her passions is helping playwrights and screenwriters develop their scripts.

She earned a Masters of Fine Arts from Rutgers University, where she studied the Meisner Approach with Deborah Headwall, the Michael Chekhov Technique and Clown with Leonard Petit, Uta Hagen with William Carden, Fitzmaurice Voice Work with Dr. Heather Rasche, Speech with Erik Singer, and Theatre Literature with Lee Blessing.

She also studied Theatre Education with Dr. Jennifer Katona at the City College of New York.

She is a proud member of Actors Equity Association and SAG-AFTRA.

  • Nominated for Best Supporting Actor in a Play for the Broadway World Regional Awards, (2022)

Next Up:

  • Aaron is currently working on a devised play with Wishbone Theatre Company inspired by the Founding Fathers.
  • She is a cast member of Adesto Theatre's Spontaneous Play, where she and the rest of the ensemble of actors improvise a play, on the spot, for an audience.
