CLP: Furman Symphonic Band in concert

The Furman Department of Music will present the Furman Symphonic Band in its spring concert Friday, March 15, at 7:30 p.m. in McAlister Auditorium. The event is free and open to the public. Sue Samuels and David Stanley conduct.
The concert is presented in conjunction with the South Carolina All-State Band and features a wide array of musical repertoire highlighting the versatility of the wind band medium. Trombonist Henry Niehaus will be a featured student soloist during the program. Music includes a new composition by composer Viet Cuong, “Deciduous,” which recently won the National Band Association’s 2023 William D. Revelli Memorial Composition Contest.
