Kailash Khandke, an economics professor at Furman University, has written an opinion piece in The Greenville News about how economies can rebound from the pandemic. Citing severe shortfalls in federal, state and local tax coffers, he says, “an infrastructure bill would create a steady income stream for our labor force and precipitate economic growth, thus directly enabling a tax-base recovery.”

Khandke is the Frederick W. Symmes Professor of Economics at Furman.
