Mandy Powers Norrell falls short in bid for Lt. Governor
South Carolina Rep. Mandy Powers Norrell, a 1995 Furman graduate, fell short in her bid on Tuesday to become the state’s next Lt. Governor. She was the running mate of state Rep. James Smith, who was running for Governor of South Carolina against Republican Henry McMaster. Powers Norrell graduated from Furman with a degree in English and attended the University of South Carolina School of Law. You can read more in The Post and Courier.
