Furman’s first gentleman writes book

Furman’s Charles Davis didn’t know what the expectations would be as the university’s inaugural first gentleman. Entertaining spouses and partners of Furman trustees at presidential mansion White Oaks, Davis soon became aware hospitality would emerge as front and center among his duties. Prodded by doting guests for whom Davis crafted savory and sweet dishes, Davis devised an idea for a cookbook/history book which pays homage to past and current Furman presidents, and the home that was gifted to Furman 25 years ago by Hozomel Mickel Daniel.
