Miracle Hill Ministries was one of three organizations chosen to receive a portion of an anonymous donation given in spring 2015 to Furman University with the directive that it be used to help make several nonprofit organizations in Greenville more energy efficient. With the $39,000 grant Furman awarded to Miracle Hill, the nonprofit will install energy efficient lighting at Greenville Rescue Mission and selected thrift stores. In GSA Bizwire.com, Tony McJunkin of Miracle Hill says, “We expect to save $24,000 a year with the new, energy-efficient LED lights … allowing us to spend more dollars on direct care for our guests instead of utilities.”
