Furman Softball hosts Masters Weekend at The Park

Softball and The Masters at Augusta National? Furman University’s Elizabeth Dunning and Furman Athletics saw it as a winning combination. On Tuesday, April 7, Furman Softball hosted the Presbyterian College Blue Hose in a split doubleheader. But the atmosphere at Pepsi Stadium had more of a green feel when Furman staged Masters Weekend at The Park. Ella Grogan ’25, a communication studies graduate and FOX Carolina Palmetto Sports reporter, spoke with Dunning, assistant director of marketing and creative services, who said the event highlights student-athletes, Furman golf programs, its golf course and more. Masters Weekend at The Park included activities for kids, Masters trivia and a putting challenge. Grogan nailed the putt.
