Former Furman University Head Coach Doug Allison sits down with WYFF News 4’s Marc Whiteman to reminisce about a historic season for men’s soccer that ended with Furman’s first-ever appearance in the NCAA College Cup. The Paladins cruised into the NCAA final on a 14-game unbeaten streak despite having one of the youngest teams in the country. Allison, who announced his retirement ahead of his 31st season with the Paladins, tells Whiteman what he’s most proud of across his career – and it’s not trophies, name recognition or glory. For Allison, it’s the legacy players create for their families and the culture the program has built. “I’m proud of the culture that’s in Furman Soccer,” he says. “I’m proud of the badge we live by.”
