Furman featured in SCBiz’s South Carolina 500 spotlight

Furman University alumni, employees and friends are highlighted in SC Biz News’s inaugural South Carolina 500 list, featuring leaders shaping the state’s economic future.

The honorees include Furman President Elizabeth Davis, along with Center for Innovative Leadership Executive Director Garrett Stern and the Hill Institute for Innovation and Entrepreneurship Executive Director Bryan Davis. Bryan Davis was previously featured on SC Biz News’ Palmetto Power List 2024.

The list also includes Furman Trustee and Spinx Co. CEO Steve Spinks, Trustee Emeritus and Hartness Development CEO Sean Hartness and Don Gordon, founding executive director of The Riley Institute and professor of politics and international affairs.

More than 80 other alumni, relatives and friends of the university made the list of people “who are driving innovation, creating jobs, building communities, and making South Carolina a better place to live and work,” according to SC Biz News.
