Furman bound: Miss South Carolina’s Teen 2025

Tess Ferm, an incoming Furman first-year student, was crowned Miss South Carolina’s Teen.
Tess Ferm was crowned Miss South Carolina’s Teen on Friday, June 27, in Columbia. She is a graduate of Porter-Gaud High School in Charleston and plans to study psychology at Furman University this fall. Ferm champions a community service initiative, “From Fear to Freedom,” which advocates for food allergy awareness and education – a program born out of Ferm’s own struggles with anaphylactic food allergies. For her talent, she performed “Tomorrow” from the musical “Annie.” Columbia ABC affiliate WOLO 25 covered the news on Friday and spoke with Ferm and the newly crowned Miss South Carolina on Saturday. Ferm won a $12,500 scholarship from the Miss South Carolina Scholarship Organization and will compete this fall in the Miss America Teen competition.
