Ahead of the U.S. strike on Iranian nuclear facilities on June 21, Furman University’s Brent Nelsen spoke to FOX Carolina anchor Justin Dougherty. Nelsen, the Jane Fishburne Hipp Professor of Politics and International Affairs, commented on what a strike on Iran might mean for the U.S. including a failure in recent decades to “win the peace” in the Middle East following U.S. involvement in conflicts. He spoke about the “difficult moment” facing the Trump administration in light of history and the nuclear threat posed by Iran.
