Paula S. Wallace, a 1970 Furman University education alumna, was one of 20 recipients of the Presidential Citizens Medal presented by Joe Biden on Jan. 2. The White House recognition included this commendation: “A lifelong educator and trailblazer of the arts, Paula Wallace dreamt of a school that would transform how we think about professional education.
