Local news turns to Danny Tang to explain global IT outage

A global IT outage due to an errant CrowdStrike update for Microsoft Windows caused critical systems and servers to grind to a halt July 19. FOX Carolina’s Grace Runkel spoke with Furman University’s Danny Tang, associate vice president for technology and chief information officer, who explained what happened and added some historical context to the ordeal.
