Furman’s Vinson weighs in on SC GOP primary power rankings
The State turned to several election observers for its second installment of the South Carolina GOP presidential primary power rankings. Furman University’s Danielle Vinson, a professor of politics and international affairs, offered her thoughts on South Carolina Senator Tim Scott (in second place) and former President Donald Trump (in first place). About Scott Vinson said, “His likability sets him apart from other candidates.” As for Trump, Vinson remarked on his resilience despite a raft of arraignments. “Indictments apparently still don’t matter. He’s leading the polls,” she said.
