Arkansas newspaper lauds impact of Chuck Ambrose on local university

A column in the Northwest Arkansas Democrat Gazette looks at the early success of Chuck Ambrose ’83, a member of the Furman University Board of Trustees, who was appointed chancellor of Henderson State University in November 2021. The university was “on its deathbed” and in dire financial straits when it merged with the Arkansas State University System in 2019. Ambrose continues to steer the university toward long-term survival.
