Furman music professors to present concert Jan. 17
The Furman Faculty Chamber Music Series will present a concert Friday Jan. 17 at 8 p.m. in Daniel Recital Hall on campus.
“Something Old and Something New” is open to the public and is part of Furman’s Sound Quality Concert Series. Tickets are $12 for adults, $10 for seniors, and $5 for students/youth.
Hosted by Furman music professor Laura Kennedy, the 90-minute concert features music performed by these Furman faculty members:

• Anna Barbrey Joiner, viola
• Thomas Joiner, violin
• Grant Knox, tenor
• Christopher Hutton, violoncello
• Daniel Koppelman, piano
• Ruby Morgan, piano
• Ruth Neville, piano
• Matt Olson, tenor saxophone
• Dewitt Tipton, piano
• Steven Walter, guitar
• Petrea Warneck, oboe
Dr. Kennedy joined the Furman faculty in 2012. She is a musicologist specializing in 20th century music and Russian studies. Kennedy holds a bachelor’s degree in music from Wheaton and a Ph.D. in historical musicology from the University of Michigan.
