Furman University’s Paladin Regiment traveled across the pond for a trip originally planned for 2021. Led by Director of Bands Sue Samuels ’87, the ensemble participated in the St. Patrick’s Day Parade in Dublin, Ireland, on March 17. The band’s performance won the top award for colleges.

The postponed trip made it possible for the North Greenville University band to perform for Furman Men’s Basketball in Orlando during March Madness. First-round play saw Furman take down No. 4 seed Virginia, 68-67. FOX Carolina published a story about Furman’s performance in Dublin, including a video clip. The Irish Star also wrote about the visiting band, explaining what March Madness is.
