Summer Task Reminder

We’re glad to see so many of you have jumped right in and started completing your onboarding tasks! 

 As a reminder, you should be working your way through the New@FU platform. At the conclusion of the program, you’ll see a Next Steps Checklist, which will include instructions for completing several important tasks. 

 Included in that checklist are the following tasks, with an upcoming deadline of June 10: 

• Request your Furman ID. 

• Complete several academic tasks in preparation for Summer Orientation or a virtual advising meeting. These tasks include completing your New Student Survey, First Year Writing Seminar preference form, and Language Placement Exam. 

• Complete your Residential Living Profile. 

• Submit your medical and immunization records. 

Also, if you’ve not yet logged into Workday, please click here to do so and begin your onboarding process there, as well. 

Soon we will start to regularly send messages of this type to your new “furman.edu” email address.  You should plan to use this address as your primary email account because faculty, staff, and your fellow students will expect to communicate with you primarily via this medium.
