The FHC is launching an adjacent pedagogy competition to further encourage the Furman community to meaningfully engage with Dr. Wall Kimmerer‘s scholarly and public contributions prior to her visit on November 5, 2025.

A $500 prize will be awarded to each winner of the following three categories, judged by the FHC Board [Deadline March 30, 2025–a formal call will be announced later this semester]:

• Best Assignment drawing on/engaging with Dr. Wall Kimmerer‘s work

• Best In-class or Out-of-class Exercise drawing on/engaging with Dr. Wall Kimmerer‘s work

• Best Syllabus drawing on/engaging with Dr. Wall Kimmerer‘s work
