Belonging Otherwise is a living archive of stories, reflections, and resources. Here, exiled artists, writers, filmmakers, and activists share their personal experiences of belonging while in exile, offering insight into their backgrounds, their journeys, and their encounters with a new and unfamiliar country. Each story map takes many months and resources to produce. They are created in collaboration so that the exiled writers and artists are the authors of their story, rather than a quote in someone else’s publication. Our next story maps are currently under development — more on that later!
