Transform Your Teaching with Archival Treasures!

Ever wondered how to bring historical documents and rare artifacts into your classroom in meaningful ways? Join us on April 9 for an inspiring conversation at the annual Archives to Active Learning: Special Collections and Archives Fellowships Lunch & Learn, co-sponsored by the FDC and Jeff Makala, associate director for special collections and university archivist.

The 2024 Special Collections Summer Fellows Professors Melinda Menzer, Holly Pinheiro, and Jeanine Stratton will share their journeys of discovery through Furman’s unique collections and reveal how they have revolutionized their courses using these resources. From centuries-old manuscripts to one-of-a-kind artifacts, learn how archival materials can spark student engagement and deepen learning across disciplines. Interested in becoming a Summer Fellow yourself? Learn about these transformative opportunities firsthand when you join the Lunch & Learn!
