Self-Nominations Due Jan. 31 for 2024 ACS Teaching and Learning Workshop
Faculty from all across the country will gather June 2-7 at Rollins College in Winter Park, Florida, for a five-day Associated Colleges of the South Teaching and Learning Workshop that will broaden their already outstanding knowledge of instructional strategies and the means of establishing a community of learning through their pedagogy.
The event has been offered annually for the last 30 years and is often touted as one of the most transformative experiences of colleagues’ careers. Workshop mission and learning outcomes are available at the ACS website.
Academic Affairs can nominate two Furman faculty for this program and will support all of their travel and registration costs. To be eligible, participants must be able to attend all workshop activities, which include arriving Monday afternoon for an opening plenary session and departing Saturday morning, though no sessions are planned for that day. Please note that Furman’s MayX concludes on June 4, 2025.
If you are interested in being selected for this year’s workshop, complete this brief self-nomination form by the end of the day, Friday, January 31, 2025. Colleagues who have not previously attended and are in their first three years at Furman or who are within three years of earning tenure are especially encouraged to apply.
