Native American Studies Reading Circle Continues this Spring
Mark your calendars for the spring Native American Studies Reading Circle program, part of Furman’s meaningful exploration of Indigenous contributions to academic disciplines. This collaborative program, which started with reading discussions in the early fall, is led by Dr. Danielle Vison (Politics and International Affairs) and Dr. Helen Lee Turner (Religion). The reading circle supports Furman’s commitment to our Land Acknowledgement and deepens our understanding of Indigenous scholarship.
Next Session: • Date: Tuesday, February 19 • Time: 3:45-4:45 p.m. • Location: Duke Library Haynsworth Room (Room 128)
Future Sessions: • March 19 • April 16 (Same time and location)
This monthly gathering provides a unique opportunity to:
- Explore Indigenous scholarship across disciplines
- Discuss implications for our teaching and research
- Connect with colleagues across departments
- Enhance our understanding of Indigenous contributions to academia
