Just Dropped: New Video Podcast on Teaching with Images

In the FDC’s latest Learning by Design Studio (LBD), FDC Faculty Associate Sarah Archino, associate professor of art history and chair of the art department, discusses her multi-year research effort on visual literacy. The LBD includes information on how visual literacy is a transdisciplinary set of skills that can help students engage more critically with disciplinary sources. A short exercise that can be adapted for many types of visual materials to facilitate classroom discussion is modeled.
