Are you thinking “FU All the Time” about a Friday afternoon workshop… the day after the Paladins’ big dance… the week of Greenville spring break!? This series of unfortunate events is the perfect grounds to talk about Universal Design and think about one small tweak we can make to engage our students near the end of the semester.
This interactive workshop will introduce the core principles of Universal Design for Learning (UDL) and demonstrate practical ways to apply the framework in college classrooms. Participants will explore examples of UDL-informed teaching practices and engage in a guided activity using one of their own course assignments to identify opportunities for increased flexibility, clarity, and accessibility. We will conclude with an open discussion focused on questions, challenges, and ideas participants wish to explore further, creating space for faculty to exchange strategies and receive feedback on their teaching contexts.
We’ll met Friday, March 20, 3:00-4:30pm, in LIB043.
