
Are you curious about ways to simultaneously improve your teaching, enhance learning, and conduct scholarly research? Have you considered exploring the Scholarship of Teaching and Learning (SoTL) within your discipline or area of expertise? SoTL involves iterative, systematic inquiry into student learning processes in your courses with the goal of learning improvement. SoTL is conducted by faculty in any discipline and is informed by the broader literature on teaching and student learning in higher education. In this session, participants will identify questions about their teaching and learning that might align with SoTL scholarship, discuss the basic processes involved in conducting SoTL research, and preview an opportunity to join a Summer SoTL cohort (with or without summer research students) in Summer 2025.
