There are plenty of nearby apple orchards like Grandad’s Apples ‘N Such, located only 45 minutes from Greenville in Henderson, North Carolina. Grandad’s has a 100-acre apple farm for picking, a pumpkin patch starting, and a bakery selling goodies made from their apples! Another nearby apple-picking location is Sky Top Orchard, which is also only a 40-minute drive located in Flat Rock, North Carolina! At Sky Top, people can pick numerous different kinds of fruits but apples are what they are known for! They offer yummy fall treats as well as fun activities for the whole family! Denver Downs is a farm that is roughly 45 minutes away from Greenville that encapsulates all the fall fun. They have fun attractions, pumpkins galore, live music, and fresh-cut flowers. But at night the farm turns into a family-friendly corn maze that includes no fright or haunting. Another thing that is offered is the farmers market, the Greenville farmers market is located on Main Street held every Saturday from 8 a.m. until 12 p.m., through October 26th. On the last day of the market, the Autumn Harvest takes place. The Autumn Harvest allows children to trick-or-treat, photo opportunities for the whole family, and even a Halloween costume contest for children! Regardless of which fall event you partake in, downtown Greenville is a perfect place to enjoy them all!

Falling for Furman

It’s Fall at Furman!

Lastly, while you are making plans to fall for Greenville, make sure you set aside time to visit Furman during this beautiful season! Furman hosts an event called Fall for Furman that is marketed towards high school Juniors and Seniors who are interested in attending Furman. The event takes place on November 9th this year and allows prospective students to learn more about the university. This fall open house teaches more about the financial aid process, allows people to meet faculty geared towards their academic interests, experience the beautiful campus with a student-led walking tour, and enjoy a football game where they can cheer on their Paladin football team.

If you want to experience the leaves change color then there is no need to look further than Furman’s campus! Happy Fall Y’all!
