CLP: Beyond the Numbers: Celebrating Diversity in Mathematics

Focusing on the impacts of racial and gender identities over the years, we will highlight the historic mathematicians Sophie Germain and Marjorie Lee Brown. Representing present and future perspectives, Dr. Jordan Bounds and Dr. Vic Bednar from the Furman Mathematics Department will be joined by current mathematics majors Sam Housand ‘25 and Menna Ellaqany ’25 to share their experiences.
