Favorite Furman Event: Fall for Furman! It's our fall open house available to all students and such a great way for prospective students to see both the academic and social side of campus. I love tailgating with our visitors and cheering on our football team, Roll Dins!

Favorite Campus Tour Stop: Blackwell Hall - our news first-year housing building is right on the lake, and provides prospective students a look into what life is like in our residence halls.

Favorite Spot on Campus: Shi Institute for Sustainable Communities - this location is home to our outdoor classroom and Furman farm! Beautiful flowers, a lake view, and incredible sustainability work can be seen here.

Most frequently asked question and answer: What's the best time to do a campus tour? If you are a senior and are wanting to take advantage of our full visit experience, visit during the weekday in the fall or spring to have the chance to meet with faculty, students, and sit in on a class. If you're an underclassmen, Furman is great all year round!

Best piece of advice for prospective students: When you're visiting campuses, look around at the students there. Are they happy, are they connecting with one another, and can you picture yourself as a part of that community. Finding belonging is a big part of your college search.
