Funding Opportunities
Engaged Learning Experiences Endowment

The Engaged Learning Experiences endowed fund provides funding support to students who participate in full-time undergraduate research or internship experiences.

  • Qualified experiences must be full-time for 8-10 weeks during the summer.
  • Internships may be in any career field connected to a student’s pathway
  • Internship funding support provides students $3500 for living expenses
  • Undergraduate research consists of collaborative work with faculty members in all of our disciplinary areas – natural sciences, social sciences, humanities and fine arts
  • Undergraduate research funding support provides students $3500 for living expenses and they qualify for a reduced on-campus housing rate. They also receive additional support for necessary materials and supplies for the research project.

Rinker Center for Study Away and International Education

This endowed fund provides support for a variety of experiences for students to engage critically with global cultures while developing transferable professional and personal skills.

Mock Trial Endowment

Furman boasts an award-winning and nationally ranked mock trial program open to all students. The coaching staff are local lawyers, several of whom are alumni of Furman’s program. This endowed fund supports tournament expenses and student scholarships.
