Janna Pennington is a Lecturer in the Department of Communication Studies at Furman University. She has sixteen years’ experience teaching, advising, and mentoring college students and is passionate about helping students grow and reach their potential. In addition to her work in higher education, Janna leads training and development workshops for businesses and non-profit organizations across the country. Her recent projects include facilitating team building sessions for corporate groups, training summer camp staff, and providing personal and professional coaching for individuals serving in AmeriCorps programs. Janna holds a master’s degree in professional counseling from the University of Georgia and has completed training on several personality instruments, which she enjoys using with her students and consulting clients. In her free time, Janna enjoys reading, running, listening to podcasts and hiking with her family.
