Ravenel is a founder and co-chief investment officer of Eagle Capital Management, LLC. He received his Bachelor of Arts degree from Furman University and an M.B.A. from the University of Virginia. Upon graduating, he served as a First Lieutenant in the US Army.  He is a trustee of The Duke Endowment, the American Enterprise Institute, the Manhattan Institute, the New York Historical Society, the Genetics Endowment of South Carolina, and a Trustee Emeritus of Success Academy Charter Schools, New York Hall of Science, and Furman University.  He is a member of the Council on Foreign Relations and the former chair of the New Jersey Higher Education Assistance Authority.
