At Furman, this question is at the heart of the Intergroup Dialogue Program, where students study the art of dialogue and practice it together.<\/p>\n<p>Grounded in the liberal arts, the program brings many disciplines to bear on a shared human challenge: learning to listen, question, and understand across difference. Students can engage in two ways. IGD 101, a two-credit course, pairs scholarship with structured conversation. Dins Dialogue, a student fellowship program, brings members together weekly to develop their skills and reflect on how their lives and leadership are being shaped by the work. The group also plans and hosts campus events.
