From Cradle to Cradle

Purchasing decisions result in large socio-economic and environmental impacts, both locally and globally. As a charter signatory of the American College and University Presidents’ Climate Commitment (ACUPCC), Furman University is committed to the use and purchase of environmentally and socially responsible products and services and has developed a series of Green Purchasing Guidelines. The guidelines are intended to help minimize the environmental and social impacts of our purchasing decisions by considering a product’s full life cycle and buying goods and services from vendors who share our commitment to sustainability.
