The Furman campus is a convenient place to walk and bike. Furman provides alternative transportation to get around on and off campus.

On Campus Options

Furman Paladins on Bikes

FUPOB is a student run program monitored by the Shi Institute for Sustainable Communities. For only $50 a semester or $90 for the year, receive a bike, a helmet, and a lock. FUPOB is first come, first served! Email paladinsonbikes@gmail.com.

If your bike needs a quick repair, there are 3 outdoor repair stations on campus: outside the library, at the entrance of the Swamp Rabbit Trail, and at the entrance to North Village.

Safe Ride

7 days a week, 7 p.m. to 1 a.m.
Students can request the evening SafeRide by calling 864.772.0007. If the SafeRide is unavailable, students may always request a police escort on campus by calling 864.294.2111.

Paladin Trolley

Off Campus Options

Swamp Rabbit Trail

22-mile trail that goes from Greenville to Travelers Rest. It passes through campus, making it easy for students to access this trail. Trail access points are on the far side of Furman Lake across from Blackwell Hall and the Dining Hall. Furman is located at mile marker 27. Map of the Trail.

Public Transit

The Furman Green link bus stop is located by the main entrance gates. The routes connect to popular locations such as Cherrydale Shopping Center, downtown Greenville, and Haywood Mall. Furman pick up times are Monday-Friday from 5:50am-6:50pm and Saturday from 9:00am-6:00pm. The Green link bus also provides bike racks to accommodate cyclists.
