Results from research conducted by the Riley Institute are discussed throughout the piece.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;A series of grants made by the Self Family Foundation \u2013 the small, $32 million family foundation in Greenwood, South Carolina \u2013 is garnering international attention because of their impact.<\/p>\n<p>Since the late 1990s, the foundation has made grants to support the expansion of Montessori classrooms throughout the state\u2019s public schools.
