Aganga-Williams, who made a stop in Greenville to speak at <a href=\"https:\/\/www.furman.edu\/riley\/speaker-award-events\/speaker-events\/straight-talk-2023\/#SessionI\">The Riley Institute\u2019s StraightTalk series<\/a> about the investigation, was a guest on Roberston\u2019s \u201c4 The Record\u201d Sunday morning program. Aganga-Williams stressed the committee\u2019s focus on finding the truth and laying out the facts surrounding the incursion.<\/p>\n<p>Aganga-Williams also spoke about his time at Furman and how it shaped his eventual role as a January 6th Committe member. He urged viewers, particularly students, to keep their intellectual curiosity and their forward momentum. \u201cThe world will come to you in all kinds of different ways,\u201d he said, reflecting on the call to join the committee. \u201cIf you stay open-minded, you\u2019ll find your way.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Video from the program is choppy, but most of it can be seen and heard on <a href=\"https:\/\/www.wyff4.com\/article\/jan-6-investigation-4-the-record\/45100440#\">WYFF News 4<\/a>. Furman\u2019s Brent Nelsen, the Jane Fishburne Hipp Professor of Politics and International Affairs, also appears on the clip reflecting on the Jan. 6 attack two years prior.<\/p>\n<p>In addition to his bachelor\u2019s in political science and philosophy at Furman, Aganga-Williams earned his J.D. at Cornell Law School.
