On October 17, 2012, former U.S. Secretary of Education Dick Riley named Clemson University Reading Recovery Training Center as the winner of the Dick and Tunky Riley WhatWorksSC Award for Excellence. Finalists Bridges to a Brighter Future and Teacher Cadet Program were also recognized.
